Authorities said the robbery occurred near Halsted and Roscoe, around 1:10 a.m.
The offender is a male black in his 40s, about 5’9”, and 160 pounds, said police.
The suspect was wearing a long, tan jacket with fur around the collar or hood.
The crook was last seen headed southbound on Halsted from Roscoe.
According to a responding officer, the thief stole the victim’s cell phone.
The victim was not harmed and no forced was used during the robbery, said police.
I was on the train passing this neighborhood and a black dude spotted my nice threads and Iphone and smiled and prepared himself to strike, but I went to the back of the train and he likely found another victim.
