On Friday, January 6, 2012, around 3:19 p.m., a protester was arrested outside 225 North Michigan Avenue and the incident was caught on tape.
Chicago News Report covered this story yesterday. Click here to read the details.
Several hours ago, a video documenting the protester's arrest surfaced on YouTube.
In the video, a very vocal demonstrator, restrained with handcuffs, accused Chicago police officers of "kidnapping him".
"I'm not committing a crime! I'm being kidnapped!" yelled the marcher, in a nearby cop's face.
Repeatedly, the arrested demonstrator, along with his fellow activists, asked the responding officers to explain his charges.
"What is the charge! We wanna know!", chanted the picketers, in unison.
As the Jesus-haired dissident was being placed in the back of a police van, he took one more verbal swing at the arresting officers:
“F*ck you, pig! F*ck you! What is my charge?! You’re kidnapping me!
I did not break any laws! I’m being arrested! I’m being kidnapped!”

FUCK YOU PIG, good one I like that
ReplyDeletePublic nuisance is the "charge".
ReplyDeleteI support these protests questioning the 1%. I find the ghettos robbing me in my neighborhood a larger threat then American citizens standing up against the corporations. Why did this guy do besides protest?
ReplyDeleteThey should've slapped a muzzle on him.
ReplyDeleteThe cops are under no obligation to inform bystanders as to what charges this guy is facing.
I hope his breath was minty fresh! Wow!
ReplyDeleteHopefully they gave him a good beatin'
ReplyDeleteRead him his rights? Bunch of CSI watching morons.
ReplyDeleteAnon @ 10:40, it's possible that he/it was scaring away international shoppers and potential home purchasers on the "Magnificent Mile" that are generating taxes to pay for the police protection that you're beggin for in Uptown or Edgewater while you look for someplace to grow a crop to run the grocery chain out of business (while complaining about your declining property values or driving to the suburbs to buy spray paint to complete your art project).
ReplyDeleteLike you, the protester needs to get a job too.
The charge: the 1970's want their hair back.
ReplyDelete@ 3:04am, why do you have such an insular view on people who protests? I am the person who you claimed does not have a job, but I do. Having a job does not mean one cannot be angry at the likes of the Koch brothers who have robbed and stolen from this country.
ReplyDelete@11:01 - So the Koch brothers have robbed this country? WTF are you talking about. Last I heard they own the second largest PRIVATELY held business in the country. Surely you aren't blaming private business for ruining the country...but maybe you heard that in one of the informed circles you run in. Please explain.
ReplyDeleteLOL at fleabag....you're not being kidnapped, you're about to get your ass beaten in a jail call by a bunch of black criminals.
ReplyDeleteI am the 1% and I don't give a fuck about you hippies.
ReplyDeleteI love Madonna!
