Did one of these suspects wake up on December 29, 2011, with the intent to murder someone?
29-year-old Tyrone "Shawty Trip" Clay and 34-year-old Edgardo "Eddie" Colon, have been charged in the December 29, 2011 murder of off-duty Chicago police office, 41-year-old Clifton Lewis.
Lewis, who was working as a security guard part-time, was shot and killed during a robbery at M&M Quick Foods at 1201 North Austin Boulevard.

Although most of the news articles we've read thus far fail to many any background information on Tyrone Clay, that didn't stop Chicago News Report from digging up some dirt on the suspected cop killer.
Public records show that Clay's last known address was on the 700 block of North Throop Street, but he may have lived on Fullerton before his arrest.
We also discovered that Clay is dating a Hispanic woman named Adelina Rodriguez. Rodriguez has a young daughter.
Even though Clay and Rodriguez are not married, Clay calls his girlfriend's daughter his "stepchild".
Apparently, Rodriguez told the press that she and Clay were at home the night the robbery occurred. Furthermore, Rodriguez allegedly said that she and Clay have no clue who Edgardo Colon is.
Really?! Well, someone needs to tell Rodriguez to get her man's Facebook password and removed Eddie Colon from Clay's friends list.
On December 12, 2011, seventeen days before the robbery, Clay, via online communications, expressed his need to get money and urged people with similar interests to contact him.

On the day Officer Lewis was fatally wounded, Clay woke up around 10:50 a.m. and wished a dead friend a Happy Birthday. He also vowed to "get it in" in his dead pal's honor.

CNR contacted the alleged murderer's family members for their reaction to Clay's charges. So far, we have not heard from them.
If that changes, we will keep you posted.
i just noticed that they are both friends with eachother on fb - mr. colon 'liked' one of the comments about one of tyrone's dead brothers. i will 'like' it when the cops take them out of the cage and get crazy with the car battery!

Hoopties had to be removed from the streets for the media/TV hoopla, some were towed before neighbors got the voicemail message from other neighbors.
Again, I'm sorry this man lost his life but who the H was he? An 8 year "veteran" I was told. 8 whole years. Fur coats, nurses in white. The whole damn CPD there while there's rampant crime elsewhere.

While other people run away from gunfire police officers head toward it. Chicago police officers risk their lives everyday for morons like you. So while you sip your coffee in your cubicle you can feel at ease knowing someone like Officer Lewis is protecting your sorry ass. He and every other officer who dies in the line of duty is deserving of every bit of honor that is bestowed upon them because unlike you they've risked their life for the safety of others, and unfortunately for him it ultimately cost him his life. Its people like you that aren't deserving of quality police service. The next time some shithead breaks into your house, robs or hurts you don't bother calling the police because you obviously do not appreciate what we do.
