North Side: Man beaten with bat, robbed, says cops

A male victim was attacked with a baseball bat and robbed in Chicago's West Ridge, West Rogers Park neighborhood, said police.

The victim was attacked on the 6900 block of North Hamilton Avenue, near Hamilton and Farwell, around 7 p.m., said police.

Authorities said four male Hispanics in their late teens or early 20s stole a briefcase from the victim.

According to investigators, the assailants were wearing dark-colored clothing. 

After the the alleged robbery, the offenders fled the scene in a tan Chevy Tahoe, said police.

Information regarding the victim's condition was not disclosed.
