VIDEO: Rogers Park standoff: Car vs moving truck
On December 1, 2011, around 8:45 a.m., tempers flared as traffic came to a standstill near the corner of Glenwood and Albion in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood.
A man driving a four-door sedan and the driver of an Atlas Van Lines moving truck were caught on camera during a heated verbal confrontation.
It appears the man in the sedan refused to move his vehicle so the moving truck and other vehicles could get through the congested intersection.
"Are you a f*cking cop? Are you f*cking retarded?" shouted the Atlas Van Lines truck driver.
Because of the background noise, it's hard to understand what the driver of the sedan said in response to the truck driver's questions, but one thing is clear... the guy in the sedan didn't offer to move his car.
Here's what YouTube user TimsAwesomeVideos said:
"There's 4 large trucks in this tight intersection, flanked by parked cars on both sides: the moving truck, a flatbed tow truck, a garbage truck and a box truck.
What exactly does the Old Man in a Sedan gain by being stubborn and not moving his car out of the way to relieve traffic? At the end of the video he tells the moving company trucker that he's calling the police."

This is what happens when you live in a city of 2 million people with cars. Everyone has somewhere to go and there is so little space to get around each other. Tempers will flare.
ReplyDeletethere was an empty space on the passenger side of the sedan for him to back into and end this in two seconds.
