According to police dispatch, a car crash occurred near the intersection of Leland and Broadway in Uptown.
It appears the car may have struck a light pole or one of the beams that support the elevated "L" tracks near the Wilson train station.
A responding officer said a male accident victim was unresponsive at the scene.
The officer also said firefighters might have to cut the man from his vehicle.
Preliminary information suggested there might be more than one person injured at the scene, but that information was not confirmed.
CTA was notified that #36 Broadway buses traveling near the crash might have to be temporarily rerouted.
