Dead body found on South Side lakefront

A dead body was discovered along the lakefront on Chicago’s South Side early Christmas morning, said police.

According to preliminary information, a man’s body was found lying on the rocks near 6500 South Promontory Drive, somewhere between La Rabida Children's Hospital and the Jackson Park Yacht Club.

Bird-watchers spotted the body in Lake Michigan around 7:18 a.m.

The decedent is said to be a male white in his 40s or 50s.

An officer at the scene said it appears the man has been dead for several days.

  1. I think the Chicago PD should replace the body with a living body, since it's Christmas and all. After all, the FD replaces all the burned presents.

  2. ? I just think this is sad because this story gets no comments, attention like the others. But then again, this most likely wasn't a "crime". Like it's just another day in the neighborhood......
