A male victim’s clothes were torn during an apparent strong arm robbery in Chicago’s Boystown, Lakeview neighborhood, said police.
At 4:50 a.m., a citizen reported two men fighting near the intersection of Broadway and Stratford Place.
Within seconds, a second 911 call indicated a male Hispanic victim, wearing ripped clothing, was calling for help at the same location.
Investigators said a male black offender wearing a purple hat and a black coat, robbed the victim and took off southbound on Broadway.
A responding officer followed what he believed to be the suspect’s footprints through an alley behind 587 West Hawthorne Place.
The officer said it appeared the offender hopped over a fence.
At approximately 5:01 a.m., a female officer said a suspect matching the offender’s description was apprehended at 3250 North Lake Shore Drive.
At 5:13 a.m., the suspect was reportedly positively identified as the offender and placed under arrest.
UPDATE: 35-year-old Sean Curtin, who also goes by the name Musiliudee M. Kalilku, has been identified as the offender in Friday's Lakeview neighborhood robbery. Curtin's bond was set at $300,000.

We must rid our Lakeview neighborhood of gangbanging niggers.
ReplyDeleteGood job by the CPD. But if they want to PREVENT these incidences from happening in the first place, they can slow down their squad car and stare a hole in these "people" ready to attack any minute (like they did to this White man simply walking home, i.e. moving along, down Broadway one night before midnight as if I look like a menace to society). OR, they can shine that spotlight in their face (like they did to this White man out on the lake at 9:45pm one night and simply state "haha, oops our light is broke, sorry, haha".
ReplyDeletePlain and simply, let the black people know they are being watched as well. Or are they scared? Or is that too un-PC?
The ghetto spooks are being attracted to Lakeview by the Center on Halsted. Shut that down and they will go away.
ReplyDeleteSUGGESTION TO CNR: Post a picture of the suspect so his other victims can I.D. him and report to the police.
ReplyDeleteNo. That area has problems that extend way far beyond that Center on Halsted. That excuse has been used for years and it's played out.
ReplyDeleteI have a permanent solution to the ongoing problem of ghetto blacks preying on white Lakeview residents:
ReplyDeleteIf white plainclothes undercover policemen armed with their service revolvers would walk alone around Lakeview residential streets between Halsted and Broadway between midnight and 5:00 AM acting as bait, they would not only nab countless thugs but deter future muggings because the thugs wouldn't know who was a cop.
We would need to fund a strong incentive for cops to do that...I suggest the reward would be $500 a head for any thug caught in a mugging attempt and $1,000 for any thug shot dead while resisting arrest.
The funds could come from a surtax paid by all bars and restaurants in the area into a fund to compensate the cops. I would gladly pay an extra dollar for a drink or a meal if it meant it was highly unlikely I would be mugged afterward while walking home.
Correct Anon @ 2:08 - has been my biggest complaint about the general area as those businesses play a major part in this as well. You'd think someone/someplace you patronized loyally for years would just simply state "you might want to take a cab, there have been some incidences". That's all I would need to know. Don't have to go into detail. They don't care anything about you but your $'s (well, and something else, but.....).
ReplyDeleteI really don't need the area, just something to do now and then but have totally written it off until they properly address the crime. I think my "change" will be permanent however.
The cover charge and "drink ticket" thing is long overdue as well. $1 or 2 of that ticket can go to armed security that, at least, has a presence. They are now, officially, a ghetto area. Certainly doesn't support nor serve my demographic anymore.
