VIDEO: Russian man angry over slavery, kicked off CTA bus

A rowdy, loudmouthed CTA passenger from Russia was ejected from a southbound #9 Ashland bus after he verbally assaulted a white male passenger over slavery.

The agitated commuter seemed to be upset with the British involvement in the transatlantic slave trade and decided to take his frustration out on an unsuspecting passenger.

"These motherf**kers brought your ancestors from Africa," said the Russian to a black woman sitting across from him. "In my country there's no prejudice. Understand?" he continued.

Then, turning his attention toward the object of his ire, the Russian said, "Go back to England where you come from! You don't belong here!"

According to the male passenger who was verbally assaulted, the unprovoked verbal confrontation started at the bus stop.

The victim said he has no idea why the angry and possibly intoxicated Russian targeted him.

  4. Well, actually the British Empire didn't invent the slave trade; we ended it; The first time in history that such a thing was done. I go to Russia a lot. There is considerable prejudice against non Slavs never mind people of other colours. Flats (apartments) are frequently advertised as "for Russian families only", the target of the prejudice being Asians.

  5. The derivation of the word slave encapsulates a bit of European history and explains why the two words slaves and Slavs are so similar; they are, in fact, historically identical. The word slave first appears in English around 1290, spelled sclave. The spelling is based on Old French esclave from Medieval Latin sclavus, "Slav, slave," first recorded around 800. Sclavus comes from Byzantine Greek sklabos (pronounced sklävs) "Slav," which appears around 580. Sklavos approximates the Slavs' own name for themselves, the Slovnci, surviving in English Slovene and Slovenian. The spelling of English slave, closer to its original Slavic form, first appears in English in 1538. Slavs became slaves around the beginning of the ninth century when the Holy Roman Empire tried to stabilize a German-Slav frontier.

  6. ...and it was the Russian Jews who marketed and transported the Sub-saharan slaves from Africa to the USA, on their ships. A total of 600,000 african slaes were brought to the USA (many assume it was a higher number). Many believe the symbiosis between jews and African Americans in Media, Sports & entertainment is reparation for their early responsibility in slavery.....
