A YouTube video entitled, "Chicago Police Like LAPD", was posted online November 16, 2011. The video documents a woman questioning two police officers after a male subject was arrested near the intersection of Belmont and Sheffield.
When the woman asked the officers why the man was being taken into custody, the officers said the male subject was arrested for blocking the sidewalk and refusing to leave the area.
"What did he do? He didn't do nothing. I got it all on tape," said the woman, from behind the camera.
But despite the woman's claim that the man is innocent, the YouTube video doesn't show what happened before the subject was hauled off to jail.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure he was doing nothing wrong other than being a "public nuisance".
Maybe there are no laws in Chicago to thwart standing on the sidewalk and yelling about "MF White people", or flailing around with a bottle in your hand, or loitering for hours, BUT you CAN arrest them for being a PUBLIC NUISANCE - they do it in Detroit all the time.
This is #1. When I hear of at least 5 more of these arrests in the general area, I'll start spending $$ at the local businesses again other than at the grocery store or getting my hair cut.

ReplyDeleteThe humane thing to do with all of these "people" would be to pay to have their "familes" (Core Groups) relocated to their native habitat in Africa. There is no racism in africa (because there are no whites) and they can go back to doing what they do best: Nothing but eat, sleep and shit. No, really...
I don't care if the CPD has to crack a million heads to get this city back to a level of safety where we can ride a train and walk down a sidewalk without being robbed, killed, or raped. Keep up the good work CPD!! Stay safe fighting these scum bags.

First of all Tony is one of the nicest cops in the area. There are people that stand on the sidewalk and block foot traffic over there all the time and bother anyone around them there. My husband tried to walk around 2 of those people and got pushed into the wall and they started screaming at him and threatening to kill him. There were some people waiting for a bus a few feet away so the offenders left him on the ground and toke off
