The armed robbery happened around 5:40 a.m. at the Rogers Park Metra station at 7000 North Ravenswood Avenue, near Ravenswood and Lunt.
The offender was described as a male black with braided hair, about 5’9”, and wearing huge glasses.
The suspect was dressed in a gray hooded sweatshirt and black jeans
The victim said the gunman smelled like alcohol.
The crook fled the scene eastbound on Lunt, then northbound on Clark toward Touhy Avenue.
The thief stole the victim’s wallet and his watch.
We don't have a metro station we do have a Metra station.

WHEN will the people in CHICAGO tell the politicians to shut up and sit down and arm themselves?? I myself would NOT risk going downtown or ridding the metra system WITHOUT a weapon.. let me tell you I would never convict ANYONE who shot someone in self defense..

The north and north west side of Chicago is being over run with animals. At the same time, police officers are being sent to the south and west sides of Chicago. So some of you citizens who pay the highest property taxes in the city are being robbed by Tiny Dancer. The criminals are not stupid.
ReplyDeleteExactly Anon 6:03pm, why send the cops to the south and west sides? These animals head up north to do their robbing and raping. We need to profile every animal that heads north on the Red line. That train brings nothing but garbage up north.

Honestly you north sider ls deserve this imagine the white flights in those areas and families who could not afford to move but you all told us for years to be tolerant and take what we had coming.

I've been going to this train station for years and have never seen a robbery. While this event is bad, overall it is a very safe train station.
