Robbery reported at Granville CTA train station


A woman was allegedly robbed at an Edgewater neighborhood CTA train station on the city’s North Side, said police.

The purported robbery occurred around 8:59 p.m. at the Granville “L” stop at 1119 West Granville Avenue.

According to police, a Loyola University campus police officer chased two suspects eastbound on Granville, then southbound on Kenmore Avenue, where the officer lost sight of the suspects.

The alleged offenders were described as two male blacks.

One suspect was carrying a backpack.

At the time of this report, a responding officer said the alleged victim had left the scene of the alleged crime.
