According to court documents, Alexander was fired from his position at the now-closed The State Room at 1212 North State Parkway, back in June 2000.
Shortly after his termination, Alexander filed a complaint with the City of Chicago Commission on Human Relations.
The complaint alleges that Alexander's employers, Russell Scalise and Scott
Schwab, wrongfully terminated Alexander's employment and subjected him to harassment and a hostile work environment.
In court, Alexander accused Scalise of calling him a "d*ck sucking sissy" and referring to him as a "f*ggot", "Marybeth" and "buttercup", on several occasions.
Court records show evidence was presented to the court, documenting several voice messages where Scalise accused Alexander of engaging in homosexual sex acts with a business associate.
Alexander was awarded $35,000 in emotional injury damages, $140,000 in punitive damages, and $84,473.06 for attorneys' fees.
