In addition to being sprayed with a chemical agent, the mugger threatened to shoot the victim, said authorities.
The robbery occurred Sunday, around 4:30 a.m., on the 2300 block of North Orchard Street, near Orchard and Fullerton Avenue.
The offender stole the victim’s cell phone, took money from the victim’s wallet, and gave the wallet back, said police.
The crook is a male black, 25 to 28-years-old, about 5’8”, and 155 pounds.
He was wearing an army-green or olive-green trench coat.
After the robbery, the assailant ran southbound on Orchard to Fullerton Avenue.
Isn't this about the fifth or sixth robbery/mugging in that area, THAT WE KNOW ABOUT, in the last week? Ghetto thugs just prowl and prey, like wild animals in every neighborhood. Seems that old adage "there goes the neighborhood" is becoming reality in this city. Also seems that the lastest "disguise" is dressing like a drag queen. I'd bet , in other neighborhoods, these ghetto thugs don't use that as a disguise.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, they do Towanda. Straight black males have been using wigs and drag to rob banks across the nation for years now. Once again, Chicago is quite a bit behind the times. It's the rampant "liberalism" and "diversity" here though. It's o.k. to walk around in drag and nobody gives a hoot. It's the "norm". In most other places that's reserved for Halloween or early morning hours at some tucked away skanky gay bar with no sign on the door. But in Chicago, they'll get fed for free and have access to the "social services" of their wildest dreams just for putting a wig on. Happy Diversity.
ReplyDeleteWell, it is "Boystown". I just think this may be the latest in their trunk of disguises because of the area. After all, it's easy to ditch a wig, put on some jeans and throw on a sweatshirt. Now the cops don't have a clue the person they just passed is the perp. I see this more in Boystown then Michigan Ave, LP, RP, Uptown or Edgewater. I'm just saying, it's the latest disguise for the area to throw victims and the cops off.

ReplyDeleteNowhere in the city is safe. You wanted Political Correctness, well take it!!! Now we have to look behind our shoulders even in our own "safe" neighborhoods only to have it ruined by Section 8 housing and the classless ignorant people that they choose for those programs. I'm so sick and tired of all this BS with treating the black community in chicago with kid gloves.
