Edgewater robber: ‘Give me your wallet and your cell phone, or I’ll shoot you!’

A victim, confronted by a thief in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood, was given a deadly ultimatum: his money or his life.

Around 12:54 a.m., a man was robbed on the 6100 block of North Kenmore Avenue, near Kenmore and Glenlake, said police.

A male black offender implied he had a weapon and demanded the victim’s cell phone and his wallet.

“Give me your wallet and cell phone, or I’ll shoot you,” said the offender, allegedly.

The mugger is 27 to 32-years-old, about 5’8”, and 150 to 170 pounds. He has a dark complexion and was last seen wearing a black skull cap and a black coat.

After the robbery, the thief fled northbound on Kenmore, then eastbound on Granville.

  1. So much for the grant Loyola gave the 48th to hire a private security/part time cop.....The only thing that's going to curb this violence is the National guard.
