The incident occurred around 12:37 a.m. near the 100 block of South Dearborn Street, near Dearborn and Monroe, said authorities.
A black male offender, in the company of a female black, punched the women and stole one of the female victim’s purse, said police.
The male suspect was wearing a black jacket with a hood and his female accomplice was carrying a black umbrella.
A Chicago taxicab driver followed the suspects to a nearby subway station.
However, based on the police dispatch reports, it’s unclear if the offenders ducked into the Blue Line station near Dearborn and Monroe, or the Red Line station at State and Monroe.
Responding officers checked the nearby Blue Line stations, but there was no sign of the offenders.

ReplyDeleteI'm beginning to think the city doesn't mind the fact that it's innocent taxpaying residents who become victims, have no way of protecting ourselves. Or maybe they think we're all to stupid to learn how to handle a gun. Either way, they sure don't give a rats ass about us!
