Second Lincoln Park robbery reported on Wrightwood Ave.
A second man was robbed at gunpoint on Wrightwood Avenue, said police.
At 9:07 p.m., a 911 caller reported two men robbing people at gunpoint on the 600 - 700 block of West Wrightwood Avenue, near Wrightwood and Orchard, said authorities.
Both offenders were described as black or African American.
One suspect was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.
The other suspect was dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants. He is about 5’7” and 140 pounds.
After the robbery, both offenders walked northbound on Orchard, said police.
An unconfirmed source suggested the men may be responsible for Sunday’s carjacking on the 2600 block of North Hermitage, as well as the robbery on the 1200 block of West Wrightwood.
The suspects in tonight’s robbery, stole a male victim’s wallet and cell phone, said police.
Authorities toured the area, but at the time of this report, there was no indication any arrests had been made.

Just imagine IF all buildings had motion sensor lights that pointed towards the sidewalk, crime would go down and these ghetto thugs would have to get a real job.
ReplyDeleteT., these suspects are on a roll. Right now, I'm working another robbery that might be related.
ReplyDeleteAt the corner of N Lakeview and Wrightwood, there is a Thresholds center. Trust me, while they do wonderful things for people with mental illness/addictions, I have seen some pretty rough people around that building and I'm sure, some of them are NOT there for the right reasons.
ReplyDeleteThere's enough money in that area that the residents could all kick in a hire private security. On the other hand, motion sensor lights are less expensive:)
Towanda, most of the panhandlers in the immediate area are from that agency, a buddy of mine used to go there and he despised the place. For some reason members of that agency are genetically programmed to beg, and they do nothing to curb it.
