Car stolen in Lincoln Park carjacking, possibly used in Uptown robbery
A vehicle matching the description of a car that was taken during a carjacking in Lincoln Park, was possibly used in a robbery in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood.
At approximately 10:05 p.m., a man was robbed at gunpoint in an alley behind 4711 North Malden Street, near Malden and Leland Avenue, said police.
The offenders were described as three black men.
All three suspects are believed to be in their 20s.
One offender is approximately 5’7” with shoulder-length braids and facial hair.
A second suspect has short hair.
The third offender is about 5’10 with a heavy build, and was last seen wearing a red baseball cap.
The thieves fled the scene in a 1990s silver, four-door vehicle, said police.
The car was last going westbound on Lawrence from Malden.
On Sunday, September 25, 2011, a silver four-door Camry was stolen on the 2600 block of North Hermitage Avenue.
Police are investigation a connection between the crimes.
