Cops: Man robbed in Boystown was ‘looking for monkey business’
Sunday, at 5:39 a.m., a male victim was reportedly robbed in Chicago’s Lakeview, Boystown neighborhood.
According to police dispatch, the alleged robbery occurred on the 3200 block of North Halsted, near Halsted and Belmont.
The victim, a male Hispanic, said an unknown male stole his wallet, said police.
When police arrived, the purported victim claimed he was unable to described the offender, said police.
Furthermore, he didn’t want to file a police report, said a responding officer.
An officer at the scene said the so-called victim was “looking for monkey business” when the alleged incident occurred.
The officer who made the remark did not say if “monkey business” meant sex or drugs.

ReplyDeleteEight thugz surrounded and beat one white kid near Oak Park a few weeks ago. It was reported. Why isn't it on this site?
ReplyDeleteGlad your back, but I do wish you would be more timely on your site.
ReplyDeleteThis site gives us FREE info and all you UNGRATEFUL BRATS can do is bitch and moan. I wouldn't blame CNR if it shut down completely! But I hope it doesn't. :-)
ReplyDeleteHe probably WAS looking for "monkey business". If you're out in that vicinity after 9pm, may God Bless You (I was going to say 10pm but corrected that based on personal experience). Private parties for GWM true professionals started in Detroit about 10 years ago.
ReplyDeleteDo they wonder why there's no respect from 911 here?
"Monkey business?" Who uses that term and how do the police know that's what was going on? Oh, I get it, it's because it's Boystown? Wow, nothing like making an "ass-umption" and showing a little bit of prejudiced with the "monkey business" terminology. Maybe they should start screaming about that, ya know, like the blacks scream racism all the time?
