Man robbed, beaten at Touhy Park
Police are investigating a robbery and beating in Chicago’s North Side, Rogers Park neighborhood.
Around 2:37 a.m., a man was mugged at Touhy Park, 7348 North Paulina Street, said police.
Authorities interviewed the victim at the Howard Red Line station at 7519 North Paulina Street.
According to the victim, several black male suspects attacked him and robbed him at knifepoint at Touhy Park.
Police said the victim was unable or unwilling to provide more details.
At 2:40 a.m., police requested an ambulance.
According to an officer at the scene, the robbery victim sustained facial injuries.
A Spanish speaking officer was also requested.
Per police dispatch, the victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois.
At the time of this report, an officer said the robbery victim did not want to file a police report.
