Man stabbed in the back in Lakeview

Police are investigating another stabbing in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.

Early Saturday morning, around 3:18 a.m., a man was wounded on the 900 block of West Belmont Avenue, near Belmont and Wilton Avenues, said police.

According to an officer at the scene, a 24-year-old man was stabbed in the back.

The offender was described as a thin, shirtless black man wearing red shorts and possibly carrying a white t-shirt.

He was last seen running northbound on Wilton Avenue.

Somehow, the stabbing victim made his way to 1012 West Belmont Avenue, where an ambulance was called to the scene.

At 3:29 a.m., paramedics were trying to stabilize the stabbing victim.

The victim was eventually taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, 836 West Wellington Avenue, for medical treatment.

  1. How's that "PC" working out for you?

Ghetto thugs don't care how nice you are, what you want to do to help or wether you're white or black. They do not have the mind set to comprehend the seriousness of the crimes they commit. THEY DO NOT CARE so why should we???

Blacks won't be happy until every inch of Chicago is ruined by their savagery. Black people destroy everything they come into contact with. They are are a miserable race of thugs and whores.

  4. I will no longer patronize any business that let's them congregate or lay all over their entrances/stairs, especially while they're open! Never seen anything like it.

    I have a list.

These businesses, especially on Halsted St., have a responsbility in this as well.

  6. This has been happening for a good 4 years now, ever since the Center on Halsted opened its doors and started actively bringing the criminal element from the Southside north to Boystown.

Whenever you state this fact, the PC-addled dyed-in-the-wool Liberals scream and howl that it's racist.

Nope...it's a cultural issue. The Center actively imports criminals to a safe neighborhood where the criminals then run wild because the neighborhood does not know how to effectively deal with them. Apparently, these are criminals who are themselves victimized in the Southside, where bigger and stronger criminals harass them. So they come north when they're drawn by the Center to a hunting ground where they can be the top predators and prey on the PC-addled Boystown community.

This is like in those Harry Potter books where no one in the wizarding world would believe Voldemort and his DeathEaters were back and anyone who said the truth was shouted down and attacked. Well, here we have a very real problem that's caused by the Center on Halsted and its PC-fueled stupidity and yet no one will admit the problem are these criminals being imported into a safe neighborhood.

  7. It's more than that damn "transient youth" and that Center on Halsted. I live here. That excuse is played out.

Again, the other recent stabbing involved someone from Hammond, Indiana. Last time I checked the Red Line doesn't run there.

Really need to open your eyes people. Again, I can't believe the gays I communicate with in this area are truly that ignorant.

    4 weeks.

    All the attackers were black.

  10. I said this in another post, what is stopping Southside gays from working to create their own gay neighborhood on the South Side? They want a "safe" place, well, then make one.

  11. Its sad cause its non stop violence or disorderly conduct out or around the Belmont station. Not to sound racist in any form of way but its young gay black men and some gay Hispanic males who are gang related, who are constantly harassing people around the area with the threats, grabbing people with out there consent, aggressive vulgar language towards many of the patrons, CPD, K9 Security or between them selves , if they cant get what they want, heavy drinking out in the open, some drug dealing, heavy prostitution, homeless youths all out at night and some pregnant, it just keeps going and the alderman cants see this happening in his area shame on him for turning his head and looking the other way all because of votes and profit sorry to say but i do have the first sight of all this when "working at BELMONT" trust me if who ever reads this take a visit to Boys town around the Belmont station during the weekend Sat-Sun you can see the truth for your self :(
