Starting around 12:22 a.m., several shots were fired on the 6200 block of North Artesian Avenue, near Artesian and Rosemont, in the city’s West Rogers Park, West Ridge neighborhood.
At least one bullet pierced a nearby apartment window, said an officer at the scene.
The shooter was described as a white male, about 6’1”, and 200 pounds.
Investigators said the rifleman was wearing a black T-shirt and black shorts.
Another white male, wearing a white tank top and light-colored shorts, was seen fleeing the scene with shooter, said police.
No further details are available.

It might have started as a crime reporting blog, which is fine, but when people stop discussing crime and start ranting about a whole race, even when the subject of a particular story has nothing to do with that race, it becomes a hate fest. And to the clowns that think crime only happens in Chicago, I say keep thinking that because the safer you think you are in your shitty city, the more you'll let your guard down, and the better it will be when crime comes knocking on your front steps. We get national news here too and know how crime ridden the rest of the country is. Even the gun loving states such as Indiana and Texas aren't faring to well. Indianapolis has been averaging close to 130 murders and it only has a 3rd of Chicago's population. White people are also catching beat downs in Downtown Indy and overall crime is on the rise there yet they can't hire police officers because they have a buget shortfall. Sounds familiar? Houston, St. Louis,Philly, Baltimore, and countless other cities are all infested. If you want a safe city then I suggest moving to Canada or someplace in Europe becasue you're not going to find it in this country unless you enjoy living in Bumblefuck Iowa or someplace.
