Another Lakeview pepper spray robbery reported


Have the pepper spray robbers returned to Lakeview?

A cab driver notified police after a man was robbed on Chicago's North Side, early Sunday morning.

During the robbery, the victim was maced or pepper sprayed, said the taxi driver.

According to police dispatch, the 6:19 a.m. mugging occurred on 1000 block of West Belmont, near Belmont and Sheffield.

Information regarding the offender or offenders was not disclosed.

    Way too many ghetto thugs hanging around that L stop and area. Time for the CTA and Mr. Claypool to start adding more security at the stops.

  4. That is a lot of pepper spray attacks. I wonder if its the same guys or now some copycats figured out pepper spray is a good tool for mugging people? Or, is pepper spray just a frequently looted item from other people they rob??
