Random police calls: 07/24/2011 (North Side)
The following police calls were made July 24, 2011. The accuracy of these reports have not been verified; they are merely a log of the complainants made with the Chicago Police Department.

12 a.m. - A criminal sexual assault was reported in Chicago's West Lakeview neighborhood.
The purported incident occurred on the 1600 block of West Belmont, near Belmont and Ashland Avenues.
The victim, a transgender woman, said her arm was slammed in a door during the assault.

12:20 a.m. - Criminal damage to property was reported near a Clybourn Corridor, Lincoln Park store.
According to the 911 caller, a male black and a female Hispanic, tried to pry open a clothing donation box in front of Office Max at 1829 West Fullerton Avenue.
The complainant said the offenders were hitting the container with a bat.

12:44 a.m. - A man was found battered and bloodied on a Rogers Park neighborhood street.
The victim was located at 7425 North Rogers Avenue, near Rogers and Paulina Street.
An officer at the scene said the man was so badly injured, he was unable to get up.
An ambulance was called to the location.

2 a.m. - A man was allegedly arrested for domestic battery on the 900 block of West Newport Avenue in Lakeview.
While in custody, the suspect apparently dialed 911 and requested a police supervisor.
Investigators said witnesses saw the man commit the crime.

2:20 a.m. - Police were called to Tai's Lounge at 3611 North Ashland Avenue, at least twice; once at 2:20 a.m., and again at 3:29 a.m.
In both cases, large groups of people were reportedly fighting outside the bar.
At 3:31 a.m., another assault was reported next door, at 3615 North Ashland.

3:41 a.m. - A large group of people were reportedly fighting near a Lakeview intersection.
An estimated ten people were brawling on the 1000 block of West Belmont, near Belmont and Sheffield Avenues, said the complainant.
The group was last reported going eastbound towards Wilton Avenue.

3:55 a.m. - A citizen said he was robbed outside a Lincoln Park 7-Eleven convenience store.
According to police dispatch, the robbery occurred outside 2619 North Clark Street, near Clark and Wrightwood.
The offender was described a 6-foot-one, 230 pound, black man wearing a light brown shirt.

4:16 a.m. - A 911 caller said he saw a man get robbed on a northbound Red Line CTA train.
The alleged robbery occurred on the train at the Morse "L" stop at 1358 West Morse Avenue in Rogers Park
The concerned citizen said two black men robbed an intoxicated male passenger.
One suspect was wearing a green shirt and the other offender was wearing a baby-blue shirt and blue jeans.
Both suspects got off the train at Howard and were last seen walking through a nearby park, said the complainant.

What the hell is the matter with people now days? It seems the only joy these ghetto thugs get out of life is inflicting pain on innocent people. Sure would be nice to turn the tables!
