The robbery occurred at 828 West Leland Avenue, near Leland and Clarendon, in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood, said officials.
According to the victim, a skinny black man with shoulder-length dreadlocks, stole his wallet, money, headphones, and cell phone.
The thief, who was wearing a white polo shirt and jeans, jumped into a SUV and fled the scene.
It’s unclear if a weapon was used during the robbery.
At the time of this report, the crook was still at large.
prowling and preying on innocent hard working people, that's all these ghetto thugs know. Seems like this ghetto thug was watching this victim or knew he came home around that time. Why else was there an SUV waiting for him to jump into?
ReplyDeletePeople really need to be paying more attention to their surroundings at ALL hours. Look around you BEFORE you enter your building, have your phone ready to dial 911, carry pepper spray, but always check out your surroundings. We must stay alert since the State of Illinois would rather the ghetto thugs have guns and not the law abiding citizens while the law makers get to protect themselves.
Towanda, you can thank the City of Chicago for tearing down the projects and allowing CHA to let these animals out of their cage into decent society. Uptown gets even worst every year, and now their crime is transpiring over into our beautiful Edgewater neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteWell Skokie, we are sandwiched in between Uptown & Rogers Park BUT..we do have a new alderman who isn't going to put up with these ghetto thugs. He's already called for more police presence in our part of the ward by Uptown. It's a start but soooo much more to do. In MAS defense, she did turn Granville and Bryn Mawr around by throwing out the "drug front store fronts". I hope it starts getting better sooner than later because I am sick to fricking tears of these ghetto thugs! And they wonder why people are becoming more & more prejudice...DUH!
