Arrest, fight at Spin night club

Around 1:04 a.m., police were called to Spin, a Lakeview neighborhood night club at 800 West Belmont Avenue.

According to police dispatch, a man outside the bar was refusing to leave and harassing customers.

While authorities were investigating the initial 911 call, an unrelated fight erupted at the bar, said police.

At approximately 1:24 a.m., one arrest was made at the scene.

Sixteen minutes later, around 1:40 a.m., police returned to Spin.

When the officers left the scene with the first alleged offender, one of the suspect’s friends attacked someone at the bar, said authorities.

The second alleged offender and a group of people who may have been associated with both suspects, were last seen walking northbound on Halsted street, said police.

It’s unclear if authorities made contact with the suspect.

At 2:22 a.m., a third police call was made from the corner of Belmont and Halsted.

According to the complainant, his intoxicated friend was threatening to attack him.

  1. Oh, let me guess. The suspect is between 5'6" and 6'4", 135 to 225 lbs, with dark or blonde hair. (Also, he's BLACK.)

  8. No way! Tell me this didn't happen on "Cubano Night". Hey, I called 911 walking home from this corner after seeing bloodshed and it took 12 rings for 911 to even pick-up. At least the po-po are responding. Kudos. I ain't the type to gossip or anything........
