Police are investigating a 5:39 p.m. robbery at a downtown CTA subway station.
According to police dispatch, the robbery occurred on the platform at the Roosevelt Red Line “L” stop at 1167 South State Street.
Two black men snatched a woman’s "laptop computer", said police dispatch. Officers at the scene described the stolen item as an Apple iPad.
One offender was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The other suspect was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a black vest.
Apparently, a CTA employee chased one of the crooks, but lost him in the subway.
When are people going to learn not to have their high tech stuff out in the open for these ghetto thugs to snatch from them... especially on the CTA TRAINS! Too bad it wasn't a K9 unit...Cojo comes to mind:)

ReplyDeleteThose two men aren't "ghetto thugs", they are merely equalizing the growing wealth gap in this country. The average ipad user makes $110000/yr.. they can afford to buy another one.. while the two wealth equality agents can raise revenue to offset the 20%+ unemployment in their community.

It's not necessary.. and only forments racial tensions. until we have stories like "thousands white men robbed millions of Americans in 2008 and snatched the wealth from hundreds of pension plans".. knock it off.

And since when is it ok to "equalize the wealth gap" by stealing, robbing, mugging, burglarizing and shooting people? And why should a person who can afford to "buy another one" have to do that because some Ghetto thug wants one for FREE??? What a pathetic excuse for all the crime these Ghetto thugs commit on innocent, hard working, tax paying citizens. You are part of the problem for sure. I'm glad CNR tells it like it is, otherwise, I'd be looking at this city through "rose colored" glasses like YOU! Start your own blog and keep the facts from the citizens, sweep it all under the carpet and act like we're creating racial tensions...The ghetto thugs create their own racial tensions by continuing to terrorize this city. When will they EVER learn what's ours IS NOT THEIRS????? The last time I checked, this wasn't a FREE society.

ReplyDeleteThe descriptions are the descriptions, we need to know who to look out for besides just the clothes worn (person in grey hoodie, age, gender, race deleted for PC purposes). Otherwise we'd simply be engaging in deliberately suppressing the facts and we wouldn't want to do that.

My advice to good old JZ, START YOUR OWN FRICKING BLOG WHERE THE TRUTH DOESN'T MATTER WHEN REPORTING CRIME...OR, DON'T READ THIS ONE...now, since the truth hurts so much, go buy those Advil!

And there is no "hate" going on here for ANYONE EXCEPT the ghetto thugs..of ALL colors who terrorize innocent citizens of this city and rightfully so. If you weren't "new" to the blog, you would know that the definition of "Ghetto Thugs" has already been clarified.
I'm also sick to tears of the "poverty" excuse. Do some research, there are far more impoverished people in this country/world who DO NOT RESORT TO THIS than in this city.
What's that saying "excuses are like assholes, everybody has one"!
I wouldn't move from this city because of these ghetto thugs and none of the commenters have to shut up..remember, we have have free speech in this country..how about you just not reading the comments if you don't like them?
