Woman injured during domestic dispute, falls down stairs

A South Side Chicago woman was shoved down a flight of stairs during a domestic dispute, said police.

At 8:41 p.m., 911 was notified that a “person was down” and unresponsive at 7950 South Wood Street. Initially, it was speculated that the person may have been shot.

However, subsequent reports indicated a man and a woman were involved in a domestic altercation, when the man reportedly pushed the woman down a flight of stairs.

According to police dispatch, the man who allegedly pushed the woman, said he thought the woman may have broken her neck.

Based on police communications, a child was present during the violent confrontation.

As of 9:03 p.m., there have been no updates on the situation.

  1. This country has gone completely mad. There has to be something in the water. I would say if you shove someone down the stairs, it would be attempted murder, at least second degree murder, because YOU KNOW they're going to either get hurt badly or die from their injuries. This is how children become criminals, they watch what their parents do.
