Woman attacked with screwdriver on CTA Blue Line?

Around 1:45 p.m., multiple 911 callers reported a vicious assault at a Northwest Side CTA subway station.

According to witnesses, a black female, a Hispanic female, and two African-American men, attacked a woman with a screwdriver on the Blue Line Milwaukee/Division platform at 1200 North Milwaukee Avenue.

The victim was descried as an African-American woman wearing a black and white checkered hooded sweatshirt.

Unconfirmed reports suggest the victim was taken to a nearby hospital, but I have been unable to verify the severity of her injuries.

As of 2:05 p.m., it’s unclear if any arrests were made.

If you have any information on this crime, please contact the police.

  1. It's that screwdriver again. Didn't someone use a screwdriver at a MacDonalds a while back? Was she actually stabbed with the screwdriver? Wonder IF the CTA reads all this stuff? You'd think they'd step it up after the death of an innocent person at Fullerton.

  2. When I was growing up we called the El the Green Limosine. Now we should just call it the Mugger Mover, ex. The Red Mugger Mover, Brown Mugger Mover etc.

  3. Anonymous, if I'm not mistaken, the "L" and the bus were known as the "green limousine".

However, the updated name, Mugger Mover, is quite apropos. :-)
