Thanks, Timothy. This is helpful. I was unaware of a problem about a block away from where I live until I read it here. I appreciate your news service!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! :-)
ReplyDeleteMe Too!
ReplyDeleteSee, I order my liquor from Peapod, and avoid ghetto people! Problem solver!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of your efforts to bring the real local news.

ReplyDeleteEman, a lot of people seem to agree you. Is there a reason for this so-called decline in respectable clientele at Roscoe's?

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. :-)
It's not just Roscoe's. It's a sign of the economy obviously. They let anything fall in the front door of any establishment along that strip in sake of the almighty $$$. I think they ALL need to start the cover charge in exchange for a drink ticket to keep the riff/raff out like they do in Edgewater/Rogers Park. Just a suggestion.
ReplyDeleteTimothy, you could be arrested for possessing a police scanner, as shown below:

I tried hyperlinking, but this blog wouldn't allow it. :(
Rudy, the man is that story was not arrested or charged with owning a scanner. He was charged with using a scanner to avoid being arrested; which is against the law.
ReplyDeleteChicago Breaking News needs to fire the person who wrote that ridiculous article.
Timothy, thanks for the clarification. :)
ReplyDeleteNo problem Rudy. When it comes to scanners, there is a lot of confusion about what it legal and what is not legal. It's illegal to use a scanner to escape arrest or rebroadcast information that might help others evade authorities.
ReplyDeleteHowever, it is not illegal to own a scanner. If that were the case, places like Radio Shack would be shut down. :-)
As far as Chicago Breaking News goes... well... read their articles very carefully. FYI, I was banned from their comment section, because I kept correcting their reporters. :-)
The media is a cutthroat business and some people will do anything to maintain control. That includes spreading lies.
Timothy,
ReplyDeleteI read 'Chicago Breaking News' as carefully as I can, considering the "many" spelling and grammar "mistakes" typically found there. :(
Yes, I'm aware of the media lies, especially by Daley, Bush, Obama, et. al. :(
