A man is said to be in serious condition after being shot on Chicago’s South Side.
The shooting occurred on the 7500 or 7600 block of South Martin Luther King Drive in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood. (The police gave two different locations for the crime scene.)
The incident was brought to my attention at 8:36 p.m.
According to one source, the shooting victim is an African-American man in his forties. Authorities said the man is in serious condition.
Witnesses observed several black male teens fleeing the crime scene via an alley behind Calumet Avenue.
One of the offenders has a light complexion and was last seen wearing an Adidas sweatshirt. He was also observed holding his side as he fled the scene, said police.
Authorities believe the suspect in the Adidas sweatshirt may be the shooter.
No arrests have been made.
