Male motorist shot near South Side McDonald’s

Police are investigating a 2 p.m. shooting on Chicago’s South Side.

According to the victim, he was shot somewhere on the 7900 block of South Marquette Avenue, but continued driving westbound on 79th Street, until he reached the McDonald’s at 2425 East 79th Street.

The man was shot in the upper left chest area and the back of his right arm, said one source.

As of 2:55 p.m., police were still trying to determine where the shooting actually occurred.

Investigators found a discarded black hooded sweatshirt in an alley behind 7841 South Marquette, but it isn’t clear if the clothing belongs to the shooter.

The injured man was taken to Northwest Memorial Hospital. He is listed in serious condition.

No arrests have been made.

  1. "Investigators found a discarded black hooded sweatshirt".....This is WHY a better description has to be given because they will simply discard a cheap "Black hoodie" that they probably stole anyway. Shoes, tattoo's and scars are the thing to look for, otherwise, these ghetto thugs will NEVER be caught and are free to terrorize again.
