Edgewater man robbed by his own boyfriend?

A North Side Chicago man purportedly told police his boyfriend robbed him at knifepoint.

The incident was reported around 9:43 p.m. and occurred inside an apartment at 5840 North Sheridan Road in Edgewater, said police.

The victim told authorities his boyfriend brandished the weapon, took his wallet, and fled the scene, said officials. 

According to police dispatch, the offender is a Hispanic man with a thin build, approximately 5’9” and 35-years-old. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Police are investigating.
