Woman stabbed at North Side Lakeview hotel

A man with a history of police contact, stabbed a woman at a North Side hotel Friday night, said police.

According to investigators, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a woman at the Chateau Hotel at 3838 North Broadway Street in Lakeview, was stabbed in the face.

The offender, a Hispanic man, was identified by authorities as a “known police fighter” named Timothy Devai (I’m not sure about the spelling of his last name).

Police searched the hotel for the suspect, but never found him.

The surrounding Lakeview and Uptown streets were canvassed by officials, as well.

As of 9:50 p.m., the knife-wielding suspect was still at large.

  1. Another "lovely" SRO that needs to be shut down for city code violations. If the police ever raided that place, they'd come out with sooooo many drugs, Bolivia would be envious.

They had trouble here a month or so ago...theft from a room and stuff at the pawn shop on the corner?
