Around midnight, two men beat and robbed a Chicago cabdriver on the city’s North Side.
Police said the taxi driver picked up two men downtown. When the driver reached the intersection of West Granville and North Ridge Avenues, which is approximately 1800 West Granville, the passengers attacked the cabdriver and robbed him of $50.00.
The suspects were described as two black men in their early to mid-twenties. Both men are said to be 5’8” to six-feet-tall.
One offender has a light complexion and was last seen wearing a blue jacket.
The other suspect has a dark complexion, wore his hair in braids, and was wearing dark jeans and a white t-shirt.
After the assault and robbery, both crooks fled westbound on Granville.
No arrests have been made.
Pretty soon, cabs will be passing young black men by instead of picking them up and risking being robbed and beaten. Is this all these ghetto thugs know how to do? Oh wait, I know the answer! It's a shame these ghetto thugs are creating an attitude about all black men because not all black men are ghetto thugs! These ghetto thugs are tearing down all that was accomplished by MLK & RFK.
