Man attacked in Lincoln Park

A seemingly random attack in a North Side Chicago neighborhood, may have been an attempted robbery.

Thirteen minutes after midnight, a man was attacked at the intersection of North Orchard street and West Drummond Place - which is approximately 2600 North Orchard and steps away from the Jane Addams Afterschool Hull.

According to police, the victim was approached by two male African-American suspects. One of the suspects struck the man on the head.

After the assault, the offenders fled the scene eastbound on Drummond, towards Clark Street.

  1. Again I ask, WTF were they doing in that neighborhood???? Robbing the residents who live there and pay property taxes there. Trust me, the rents/home prices in that neighborhood are WAY out of the ghetto thugs reach. One things for sure, IF you don't look like you belong in a neighborhood, trouble is coming! When you see something/someone suspicious..CALL 911 ASAP and watch them scatter like roaches.
