Woman Robbed Outside Bank of America

This morning, a woman was robbed outside a south side Chicago bank in the Auburn-Gresham neighborhood.

The robbery occurred in front of the Bank of America at 7900 South Halsted Street, around 6:15 a.m.

Police said the offender became enraged when the victim didn’t have any money, brandished an unknown weapon, and stole the victim’s red bag containing her ID and miscellaneous items.

After the robbery, the thief ran westbound on 79th Street towards Green Street.

The suspect is an African-American man with a medium build. He is approximately 5’8”, 25 to 28-years-old, and has a dark complexion.

  1. "offender became enraged when the victim didn’t have any money"? THE OFFENDER became enraged? LMAO! What, we're suppose to carry money around just so people like the offender can rob us of it and if we don't have any when they attempt to rob US THEIR pissed off! LMAO!

  2. It was my understanding that the crook took the woman's purse, simply because he was angry. He knew she didn't have any money, but he took her purse anyway! :-(
