  1. This is SO PATHETIC! I was always taught to respect elderly people. I guess that's not the case on the south side. I feel bad for the good citizens on the south & west sides. These ghetto thugs don't care who they shoot or kill, or what they do to their OWN neighborhoods. What a shame. If ALL the good citizens moved out..than what? They kills each other??? Hey, that sounds like a plan!

  2. towanda, stories like this really bother. Sometimes, I have to step away from computer and gather my thoughts. I don't understand how some people can be so damn vicious. Disgusting.

  3. OMG! This really pisses me off! 75 years old, minding her own business in what she thinks is the comfort of her own home that she has EARNED and only wants to live out the rest of her days there and some ghetto thug shoots at her home for no reason? Bless her heart for staying there. Me, I would have been gone a long time ago. I sure would like to get my hands on that creep. Remember the elderly lady who shot the kids throwing stones at her house a while back and DIDN'T GET CHARGED? I applaud her!

  5. "During a news conference Monday, Weis credited the drop in crime to better management of information by police and increased participation and help from the community. Among the preliminary 2010 statistics Weis highlighted was a 4.2% decrease in total crime.

The statistics cited by Weis listed 435 murders in Chicago during 2010. That's 25 fewer than in 2009 and the lowest in the 45 years since 1965."

And if you believe this, I have a bridge for sale in Arizona!

  6. Ask any cop and they will tell you, if there is no report, it didn't happen. And Weis' stats don't address attempted murders.

  7. Weis and/or anyone else can say "Crime is down!". This and other blogs prove otherwise. When people completely avoid some areas and/or greater downtown, that alone should prove crime is the same or up.
