VIDEO: Mundelein Police Taser Man with "Heart Condition"

Video obtained by Steven Kotlinski's lawyer, shows Mundelein police tasering Kotlinski after being pulled over for an expired license sticker, on New Year's Day, 2010.

Kotlinski said he wasn't doing anything wrong when Officers Richard Turek and Anthony Raciak, jammed their tasers into his chest - shocking him with painful voltages of electricity.

During the tasing, Kotlinksi can be heard repeatedly warning the officers about his heart condition.

Here's what Kotlinski told NBC Chicago:

"I'm just sitting there minding my own business and the next thing I know, the doors are ripped open violently. I undid my seat belt. I turned to get out of the car, and as soon as soon as I started to lean forward he shot me in the chest with his Taser. I didn't move towards the officers at all. I never spoke to the officers, and these guys are on me like a couple of pitbulls."

Kotlinski has filed a lawsuit claiming Mundelein police used "unjustifiable violence" against him.

  1. This is one of the main reasons I left Mundelein.
The cops are out of control. Vernon Hills too!
I can't imagine trying to be a working musician in this area. It's sad because the people of the town are great.

  2. To say the Mundelein police are out of control is an understatement. I have been pulled over on suspicion of "DUI" although I hardly drink is unbelievable. I have gotten many tickets by the Mndelein PD that get tossed out of court because the judge said that they had no foundation.

  3. watch the full video with audio, completely justifies the tasing and proves the guy was only tased once due to a taser malfunction. This guy refused to go to the hospital, clearly just trying to make some money.

    1. Exactly!!! Watch the full video and you'll see these two cops are a terror to society and exhibit a very abnormal state of behavior. THANK GOD this didn't happen to one of my loved ones.

It's too bad the full video is down. It would be nice for the public to see what kind of animals Mundelein hires and unleashes to the public.

The police academy I'm sure is embarrassed, they don't train them to work that way. I hope that Mundelein Police takes the proper action and fires them, but, I'm sure that's not going to happen. At least transfer them out and give them a crappy desk job till retirement!

The problem with young suburban cops is that they don't see enough "action" like the big city cops that actually earn their keep. These guys have a bunch of pent-up negative energy ready to unload to anyone in their way.

P.S. It's a FACT that many cops when they were kids were picked on and/or had severe complexes and now that they have the power of a badge in front of them with their newly discovered power, we will have to be the ones to pay.

P.P.S. You must be a relative that's standing up for those nitwits.

P.P.P.S. These two are REALLY STUPID for doing their follies in front of a camera mounted to the squad car.

P.P.P.P.S. Hope the academy uses you two idiots as an example to future cadets in training.

P.P.P.P.S. I could go on and on and on...thanks for the laugh Mundelein!
