When customers go to Walgreens to pick up drugs, they usually have a prescription. But that didn’t stop three aspiring street pharmacists from setting up shop at a Near North Side, 24-hour Walgreens.
Police were called to the Walgreens at 1200 North Dearborn Street, located on the corner of Dearborn and Division, around 11: 20 p.m. An anonymous caller said three men were selling drugs in front of the store.
The alleged drug dealers were described as two African-American men and a lone white man. One of the African-American suspects was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. The white suspect was dressed in all gray. A description of the third African-American offender was not provided.
Because this information was called in by an anonymous source, I started to ignore it. That is, until an arrest was made.
According to police, one man was arrested in front of the Near North Side store.
However, it is unclear which man was taken into custody.
