VIDEO: Chicago Midway Airport Employee Threatens to Kick Crying Child Out of Airport?

This footage was allegedly shot at Chicago's Midway Airport on December 29, 2010.

In the video, you can hear a crying child. Then a man, presumably a Midway Airport employee, tells the whimpering kid to stop crying.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! There is no crying allowed in the airport. You cannot cry here. Don't you know the airline people will kick you off the plane if they hear all that crying and screaming? You have to be good. We can put you out. Are you gonna be nice to mommy?"  said the unidentified man.

Okay. Was he a jerk or just doing his job?

  1. Traveling is stressful for ANYONE now days, let alone children. Good for this person for stepping in to help. Sometimes a stranger or someone other than a parent, can get the child's attention quicker than the parent. We all know how kids really don't like to listen to their parents anyway..even "big" kids...I've done this with my grandkids when their parents couldn't get them to stop crying and walla..they stopped. I'd say the guy was a good samaritain;)

  2. I agree. I don't think he did or said anything inappropriate. He got the kids attention and the crying stopped. I think the child's mother was glad he intervened.

I grew up in a large family and I am the oldest. So the sound a child crying doesn't bother me. But it seems to drive some people crazy.

  3. Some parents need 'Nanny 911' and 'Super Nanny' DVDs. Before the actual trip occurs, constant rehearsing is needed with little kids.. :)
