Police and firefighters were called to the 7300 block of South University Avenue in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood, in response to a fire.
Chicago News Report became aware of the situation at 11:33 p.m.
According to police, the blaze forced at least four people from their home: a 35-year-old man, a 27-year-old woman, a 3-year-old boy, and a 2-year-old girl.
Well past midnight, police were assisting the displaced residents; pending the arrival of the Red Cross.
