Around 11:09 p.m., a man was shot during an apparent drive-by on Chicago’s south side.
According to police, the victim was shot somewhere between the 7800 and the 7900 block of South Hermitage Avenue in Chicago’s Auburn-Gresham neighborhood. A police officer at the scene heard the gunfire.
At least five or ten shots were fired; one bullet struck the victim in his right buttock, said one officer.
Based on the information I've gathered, the shooter sprang from a vehicle, fired several shots, and took off.
When asked to described the gunman, the victim told police he never saw the shooter. Yet, he was able to tell police the offender exited a vehicle before the shooting.
