On December 28, 2010, around 7 p.m., three armed suspects walked into the Smokey Top Coffee & Tobacco shop, 7301 West 183rd Street in Tinley Park, Illinois.

A scuffle between the robbers and the employees ensued... one shot was allegedly fired. No one was injured.

When police arrived, the tobacco store employees were holding on to one of the male suspects. Two perpetrators are still on the run.

Here's what the media didn't tell you:

All three suspects are African-American and one of them is a woman. The Southtown Star reported all three suspects are men; that isn't true.

The male suspect who got away is about 40 to 45-years-old, approximately 6'3", with a thin build. The female suspect was wearing a black or gray jacket. Both offenders fled the scene in a white four-door vehicle.
