Downtown Cell Phone Thief Flees in Getaway Car

A thief snatched a woman’s cell phone on the 300 block of East Huron Street in downtown Chicago. The theft was reported at 4:29 p.m.

The offender was described as an African-American man, 5’8” to 5’10”, 180 lbs, and  was last seen wearing a tan, puffy jacket.

Police said the crook fled the scene in a car with the partial license plate SLB893. The make, model, year, and color of the vehicle was not disclosed.
