Police Chase 'Hummer' Through Englewood, As Suspects Throw 'Drugs' From Car Window

At 8:29 p.m., Chicago police officers were in hot pursuit of a Hummer, traveling at a high rate of speed, on the 6300 block of South Ashland Ave.
According to an officer following the suspects, the driver of the SUV increased his speed as he weaved in and out of traffic. The occupants of the vehicle were described as 3, African-American men.
As the offenders tried to evade the police, they reportedly threw, what appeared to be cocaine or crack, from the car’s windows. Officers recovered the drug like substances on the 5900 blocks of South Laflin Street and South Loomis Boulevard.
The driver of the SUV lost control of the vehicle and crashed in the vicinity of 59th and Troop Street. Where police confiscated "large amounts of drugs" from the wrecked car.
No officers were injured in the pursuit. However, a building sustained minor property damage.
The suspects were taken to the 7th district police station.
