Jimmy John’s Delivery Driver Robbed in Uptown
A Jimmy John’s delivery driver said he was robbed in Uptown, Sunday night.
Police say the robbery occurred around 8:15 p.m. at 4656 N. Malden Street. The thieves took a “large order of food”.
Instead of waiting for police, the Jimmy John’s delivery driver kept making his deliveries. Which was very commendable, but it hampered the police’s investigation, because they weren’t able to talk to him, and get a description of the offender or offenders.
At one point, police were eyeing a group loitering on the corner of Malden Street and Leland Ave., but without a description, there was very little the officers could do.
As of 8:44 p.m., police officers were still trying to track the delivery driver down and get a description of the robbery suspect(s).
