Chicago Police Car Hits Pedestrian

UPDATE  A woman was struck by a Chicago police car around 6:24 a.m. The accident occurred near the corner of West Montrose Ave. and North Kedzie Ave.

Police were immediately called to the intersection of West Montrose Ave. and North Troy Street, to block the northbound traffic.

The officer involved in the accident seemed shaken by the experience. When asked what happened, he said, "A woman just stepped out in front of me."

The woman was taken to Saint Francis Hospital. Her condition is still unknown.
