Autistic Rogers Park Girl, Missing; May Have Been Spotted in Edgewater

6:52 p.m. -- A concerned father and the Chicago police department need your help.

A 12-year-old Rogers Park girl is missing. According to police, she is autistic and non-verbal. The child is described as a White female, blond hair, with a medium build. She was last seen wearing a pink hooded sweatshirt, and carrying books and markers.

The missing girl resides on the 1700 block of West Wallen Ave., in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood.

Around 6:55 p.m., police announced that they received a phone call that a disoriented female was spotted near the intersection of North Clark Street and North Ridge Ave., in the Edgewater community. Police investigated the lead, but didn’t find anyone matching the missing girl’s description.

Police also received a tip from a kid, who said he saw a young girl in a pink sweater, at a park near the intersection of West Elmdale Ave. and North Clark Street. The boy told police the girl was sitting on a park bench with an older man.

If you live in Rogers Park, Edgewater, or any of the surrounding communities, and you see anyone matching this little girl’s description, please contact the police immediately.
