Ravenswood Woman Assaulted, Hit in the Head

At 3:53 a.m., a female, Chicago police officer, notified dispatch that a woman was badly injured in the Ravenswood neighborhood.

The assault occurred near the intersection of Lawrence and Western.

The officer said a 45-year-old woman had been struck in the head with an unknown object and was bleeding profusely. According to the officer, the victim wasn’t sure what happened.

Paramedics were called to the scene.
